A presque 38 ans, Gaël Monfils a battu l’Argentin Diego Schwartzman, et affrontera le Norvégien Casper Ruud, huitième joueur mondial. Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, huitième de finaliste lors du dernier Wimbledon, a en revanche été sèchement battu par l’Argentin Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
