EU’s Syria policy shifts amid calls to increase deportation

The EU is under pressure to revisit ties with Syrian leader Bashar Assad. Italy has already taken the first step, and as calls to deport asylum seekers to Syria grow louder, other EU leaders are likely to follow suit.
